Janet & Barry's Trips
Janet has always been fascinated with textiles and colours, and has a flair for the unusual in both choice of textiles to acquire and in their sources. Central Asia and North America have featured recently.
Barry tries to be supportive and, as our customers can attest, is always ready to offer tea, coffee or a glass of something cold while they peruse the Gallery's diverse collection. |

About the Gallery
Built in 1929, number 13 Chisholm Street initially housed an artesan, most probably a wall paperer or painter employed on the Parliament House site.
The Gallery has been operating here for the past 10 years, opening on weekends or by appointment, featuring textiles and jewellery, sourced mainly overseas but with a growing inclusion of local artists' work.
Close to Civic, but with a friendly, no-hassle atmosphere for shopping or just viewing the collection, and with off-street parking, 13 Chisholm Street Ainslie is a good venue to include when showing your visitors around some of the highlights of central Canberra .
